I have a BA in special education from Belmont Abbey in North Carolina.
Experience
I have tutored students in the past in math in the 6th grade. I want to be a tutor because I feel like I can work with an individual to give them the extra attention that he/she needs in specific areas to be successful. I have taken classes on word study, small group reading and author study units within the past year. I have taught 8th grade for 2 years in reading and math. I have worked with grades K-2 in every subject area for 4 years and grades 3-5 for 3 years. I have taught for 8 years in North Carolina and in Virginia.
