I graduated with an Honors B.A. in English from Roanoke College in 2012. I also have an active teaching license for secondary English education (grades 6-12).
Experience
I've been a tutor for several years, and I love watching students grow in confidence and ability. I volunteered as a tutor throughout college and began working as a full-time tutor after graduation. I've had tutoring clients of all ages, from kindergarteners to adults. When I lived in California, I taught eighth grade English in a public school classroom. I moved to Suffolk in 2013, and I taught lower elementary students in a private school. My elementary classroom was multi-age (grades 1-3), and I taught all subjects. I love being in the classroom, but tutoring is very special to me because I get to build stronger, one-on-one relationships.
